Wholesums

Brands we like…

Recently, we had the pleasure of attending the IFE conference that took place in London this March. Aside from spreading the good word about our Wholesums we had the chance to meet a whole host of lovely people while we were there. Amongst the 1,350-odd brands who were also in attendance we found a few that really struck a chord with us. It’s good to know there’s other like-minded people out there doing their thing, so we thought we’d share our thoughts on why we like them!

Tony’s Chocolonely

This Dutch confectionery company make products that both look and taste fantastic and will tick a big box for any ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ fans. That’s not all. They’re guided by a strong moral compass and are on a mission to show the world that great-tasting chocolate can be made without violating human rights. Unfortunately slavery and fair trade are still big issues in the world of chocolate production, making what they do even more essential.

POPS

Did somebody say ice lollies and sorbets made with a dash of your favourite tipple? POPS make goodies for grown ups that are absolutely irresistible – all we need now is for the weather to warm up a bit! (If we can hold off that long…!)

Deliciously Ella

Deliciously Ella, founded by its namesake Ella Woodward in 2012, is a fantastic resource for anyone looking to lead a healthier lifestyle. Plus she’s ‘making vegetables cool’ again, which is always a good thing in our book! Her blog quickly evolved into something much bigger… a book, an app and a deli later and things are still clearly going strong for her and her team.

The Protein Ball Company

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last wee while you’ll know just how in demand high-protein foods are. Seemingly every package found on supermarket shelves proudly boasts it’s protein content (hey, if you’ve got it, flaunt it). The Protein Ball Company, as if it needs any explanation, make protein balls. But not just any protein balls. These ones are all-natural and come in a number of delicious flavours. Well worth checking out if healthy, wholesome eating is your thing… after all, why wouldn’t it be?

Joe & Sephs

Never ones to turn our noses up at a good snack, pretty much anything that involves ‘gourmet popcorn’ has got our full attention. Husband and wife team Joe and Seph noticed a gap in the market after enjoying various flavoured popcorn on their trips to the good old USA. One thing led to another and their lovely popcorn was soon on the shelves and in the homes of many across the UK. Oh, and they use air popping too… Good on you, guys!
